Kama diesel generator manufacturers

Selecting the correct capacity requires calculating the total wattage of all simultaneous loads. You must distinguish between Prime Power (continuous operation) and Standby Power (emergency use). For inductive loads like motors or air conditioners, factor in a starting surge of 3-5 times the rated current. It is recommended to operate the generator at 60%-80% of its rated capacity to ensure fuel efficiency and prolong the engine's lifespan.

Ensure the engine is a genuine Kama brand (often marked with the KM prefix). Key specs include the cooling system (air-cooled for portability or water-cooled for heavy-duty), displacement, and governor type (mechanical vs. electronic). Electronic governors provide more stable frequency control, which is critical for sensitive electronic equipment. Also, verify the alternator type, prioritizing 100% copper windings over aluminum for better conductivity and heat dissipation.

For the European market, CE certification and Stage V emission standards are mandatory. For the US market, EPA or CARB compliance is required. Ensure the manufacturer holds ISO 9001 quality management certification. Additionally, check for noise level certifications (LWA) if the unit is intended for residential or urban use, where silent-type canopies (under 70-75dB at 7 meters) are often required.

Kama generators are highly versatile. Portable air-cooled units are ideal for construction sites, agricultural irrigation, and small workshops. Silent-type stationary units are preferred for residential backup, telecommunication base stations, and small retail stores. Their reputation for high torque and durability makes them a top choice for rugged environments where gasoline units might fail.

The 'Kama' name is widely respected, leading to many 'Kama-type' clones. Always request the engine's unique serial number and a video of the load bank test before shipment. Conduct a third-party factory audit via services available on Made-in-China.com to verify the supplier's production license and brand authorization.

Generators are classified as dangerous goods (UN3166) if they contain fuel or oil. To save on shipping costs and simplify customs, most units are shipped 'dry' (without oil or fuel). Ensure the supplier uses fumigated plywood crates rather than simple pallets to prevent transit damage to the control panel and fuel tank. Sea freight is the most economical method for these heavy items.

Since returning a heavy generator is economically unfeasible, negotiate for a 1-2% wear-and-tear spare parts kit (filters, gaskets, AVRs, and brushes) to be included in the initial container. Ensure the contract specifies a warranty period (usually 12 months or 1000 running hours) and requires the supplier to provide technical troubleshooting via video call within 24 hours.

Use Secure Trading services on Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon confirmation of shipment. For large bulk orders, a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is standard. Avoid using non-traceable payment methods for initial transactions with new suppliers.
