Wheel for trolley manufacturers

Material selection is critical for durability. For industrial floors, Polyurethane (PU) is ideal as it offers high load capacity and floor protection. For outdoor or uneven terrain, Pneumatic (air-filled) or Solid Rubber wheels provide better shock absorption. In food processing or medical environments, prioritize Nylon or Stainless Steel brackets with Polypropylene (PP) wheels for chemical resistance and easy sterilization.

Always calculate the Dynamic Load Capacity rather than just the static load. The industry standard formula is (Total Weight of Trolley + Max Load) / 3. We divide by 3 because on uneven floors, the weight is often distributed across only three wheels. Ensure the bearing type (e.g., Precision Ball Bearings for heavy loads or Plain Bearings for light, economical use) matches your frequency of use.

For the European market, ensure wheels comply with REACH and RoHS regarding hazardous substances in plastics/rubbers. For mechanical safety, look for testing aligned with EN 12532 (Castors and wheels for speeds up to 4 km/h). If sourcing for the US, check for ANSI/ICWM standards which govern performance and testing consistency.

You must choose between Top Plate, Threaded Stem, or Bolt Hole mountings. Top Plate is the most stable for heavy-duty industrial carts, while Threaded Stems are common for furniture or light equipment. Verify the bolt hole pattern dimensions to ensure they align with your existing trolley frame to avoid costly modifications.

The primary risk is material substitution, where a supplier uses recycled plastic instead of virgin PU, leading to premature cracking. To mitigate this, request a Material Data Sheet (MDS) and use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure the product meets the agreed-upon specifications before final payment.

Focus on Volume-Based Tiered Pricing. For orders exceeding 1,000 units, you can typically negotiate a 10-15% discount. Additionally, ask for customized branding (OEM) on the wheel fork, which adds value to your retail brand. Always clarify the Incoterms (e.g., FOB vs. DDP) to avoid hidden port charges.

Wheels are heavy and dense, making them ideal for Sea Freight (LCL or FCL). To save costs, request knocked-down (KD) packaging where wheels and brackets are packed separately to increase container density. Ensure the supplier uses fumigated pallets and moisture-proof packaging to prevent rust on metal brackets during long sea transit.

Look for Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site inspections by third-party agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Check their Export Experience—suppliers who regularly ship to your target country will be more familiar with local customs requirements and quality expectations.
