Wholesale sexual tool manufacturers

Safety is the highest priority in this category. You must ensure products are made from medical-grade silicone, TPE, or phthalate-free ABS plastic. Always request ROHS and REACH certification reports to confirm the absence of heavy metals and toxic softeners. For skin-contact items, verify that the materials are non-porous and hypoallergenic to prevent bacterial growth and allergic reactions.

Focus on battery safety and motor longevity. Ensure the devices use UL-certified lithium batteries and offer USB magnetic charging for better waterproofing (look for IPX7 rating or higher). The motor should operate at a noise level below 50dB for discretion, and the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) should include overcharge protection to prevent overheating during the charging cycle.

Compliance varies significantly by region. For the US market, ensure FDA registration for items classified as medical devices and compliance with California Prop 65. For the EU market, CE marking and WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) registration are mandatory. Always check if the supplier has ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 (Medical Devices) quality management system certifications.

In the B2B sector, discreet 'blind' packaging is standard. Ensure the outer shipping cartons have no descriptive text or suggestive imagery. For retail packaging, look for suppliers offering OEM/ODM services that can provide customized high-end gift boxes with localized languages and mandatory safety warnings printed clearly on the back.

Utilize secure payment terms and prioritize suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone Audited Supplier status. Use Trade Resources or Escrow services where payment is only released upon confirmation of shipment. Always conduct a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) through a third-party agency to verify that the quality matches the approved sample.

Adult products can be subject to strict customs censorship in certain regions (e.g., Middle East or parts of Southeast Asia). Ensure the HS Code (typically 9019.10 or 3926.90) is declared accurately. Avoid using sexually explicit terms on commercial invoices; instead, use professional terminology like 'Personal Massager' or 'Silicone Wellness Product' to facilitate smoother customs clearance.

Start by requesting a paid sample pack to test material texture and motor functions. When negotiating, aim for a lower MOQ for the first trial order (e.g., 50-100 units) to test market response. For bulk orders, negotiate a tiered pricing structure where costs decrease by 10-20% as volume increases, and insist on a 1-year replacement warranty for defective electronic components.

For high-value electronic items, Air Freight or Express (DHL/FedEx) is best for speed and security, typically taking 5-7 days. However, for large bulk orders, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is significantly more economical, though it requires a 30-45 day lead time. Ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a UN38.3 Test Report for products containing lithium batteries to avoid airline rejection.
